Started since July 1, 2018, Sinoarms Limited (“Sinoarms”) is the first authorized Chinese agent for supplying arms, ammunitions, defense weapons and other auxiliaries for military use.  It also serves as China’s first web portal that puts together trustworthy information and data about the arms products which are exportable/un-exportable, which are available in stock and which need to be manufactured upon ordering. It tells the procedures that any legal country or international organization has to go through in buying these products. Conventionally, the right of arms export only resides in the twelve Chinese military magnates such as NORINCO, Poly and CNNC, AVIC as well as their subsidiaries. Plus, the information (including contact) about arms is usually unavailable in the Chinese web portals, but stored in the dedicated Great Wallnet (mil.cn) which can be accessed by authorized users only. With the opening up and reform, the Chinese government allows and encourages more privately owned companies to participate in the manufacturing and trading of the approved arms products. However, the export of assault weapons and ammunitions must be exported through these state-owned companies or the newly approved joint companies between them and private ones. Sinoarms is the first agent of this kind to export arms products and to provide military consulting.
